Edit a Machining Feature

The geometry created by a machining feature is usually defined as editable. A variable is defined in the properties of the machining features, and a dimension table is created for the geometry. The geometry of the machining feature is then modified by using the values in the dimension table.

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Double-click a machining feature (part/component) in the assembly.
    • Select the symbol of the machining feature from the assembly tree and select the context-sensitive function Edit.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • Select a new table symbol from the dimension table.
    • If table symbols have not been created, select the context-sensitive function Dimension Table and define new values for the variables.
  3. Select OK.
Note:
  • After editing the geometry of a machining feature, refresh the changes to the assembly by re-selecting Machining Features Execute or by pressing the F5 key.
