Define the Structure of a Beam

You can select simply supported or cantilever as the support type. Define the structure of a beam by selecting its start and end points. For the simply supported beam you must also point two support points. The program marks the support points with a triangle.

The beam can be in any position in the drawing, and the forces will act perpendicular to the beam such that the positive forces of a horizontal and vertical beam act downward and to the right, respectively.

Define the beam structure as follows:

  1. Select the support type.
  2. Select the start point of the beam.
  3. Select the end point of the beam.
  4. Click the support points of the simply supported beam.
  5. Continue by defining the load. Define Load
