Define the Structure of a Beam
You can select simply supported or cantilever as the support type. Define the structure of a beam by selecting its start and end points. For the simply supported beam you must also point two support points. The program marks the support points with a triangle.
The beam can be in any position in the drawing, and the forces will act perpendicular to the beam such that the positive forces of a horizontal and vertical beam act downward and to the right, respectively.
Define the beam structure as follows:
- Select the support type.
- Select the start point of the beam.
- Select the end point of the beam.
- Click the support points of the simply supported beam.
- Continue by defining the load. Define Load
