If the proper beam profile is not available, exit from the menu by the Cancel button, and enter the moment of inertia, distance to the upper and lower surfaces from the neutral axis and Young's modulus.

After selecting the profile, the program reports the maximum stresses and maximum deflections and draws the deflection diagram. The moment diagram is drawn on the side of tensile force. After calculation, profile can be changed, and the program calculates again.

Calculation result can be edited by the text processing, added to the drawing, saved as a texts file, of printed by an active printing definition to the printer.

Select the the beam profile and calculate as follows.

  1. Select the Calculate function.
  2. Select the profile type.
  3. Select a profile.
  4. Enter the cross section area of the beam.

Profile can be replaced, if necessary. After selecting a proper profile, you can edit the calculation result by the text processing, add to the drawing, save as a text file, or print out to the printer.

  5. Select the method of editing the calculation results.
  6. Stop calculating with the Cancel button.
