Statically Determinate Beam Calculation
Statically determinate beam structures include the simply supported beam and the cantilever beam. Using the calculation program the moment diagram and maximum strains and displacements can be calculated.
The beam's end points and the positions of supports and loads are pointed in the drawing. There are three different types of loads: point force, point moment and evenly distributed line load. The value of the evenly distributed line load is entered as the resultant force.
After entering the load values, you can choose to check the loads, and you will see the entered loads, and the support reactions in numerical form. Numerical values can still be edited, but not the positions of the loads.
When all loads of the beam are entered, the calculation is performed. To calculate the stresses and deflections of the beam, select a beam profile, after which the program reports the maximum stresses and maximum deflections, and draws the deflection diagram.
Calculation is performed as follows.
