We recommend filling in the fields marked with asterisks (*).
- Fill in the data in the 4-page COMPONENT DATA view.
- Fill in data on the pages:- Code - The application will fill in the data based on the dimension table.
- Type - In the G4 Mechanical Engineering application, the software will fill in the default value. In the Plant Piping option, the user can select a component type for each part, which will then be used, for example, in the isometry application for adding an isometry symbol.
- Description - Enter a clear-language name for the component, for example 'Valve'.- You can set the same name for all rows of the dimension table by clicking the Set to All button.
- You can show the dimension table IDs defined for a part as a list by clicking the All Rows button.

- Dn Size - If necessary, change the Dn Size. If there are several sizes available for the component, for example a T branch, fill them in separated by vertical lines ( | ). If there are several sizes available for the component, for example a T branch, fill them in separated by vertical lines ( | ).You can type a vertical line ( | ) by pressing the Alt Gr + > keys. If the component has only a single Dn size, you only need to fill in the first field. If the component has only a single Dn size, you only need to fill in the first field.
- Diameter - Click and select the variables in the dimension table which determine the external diameters of the connected pipes. and select the variables in the dimension table which determine the external diameters of the connected pipes.
- Wall - Click and select the variables in the dimension table which determine the walls of the component. and select the variables in the dimension table which determine the walls of the component. If the component has several walls, for example a T branch, fill them in separated by vertical lines ( | ).
- Material - Click and select a material. Leave the field empty if you wish the component to suit all pipes. and select a material. Leave the field empty if you wish the component to suit all pipes.
- Classes - The pipe class is used in Plant Engineering pipelines. Fill in all pipe classes in which you wish to use the component, separated by vertical lines ( | ). If you leave a field empty, the component becomes available for all pipe classes.
 - Radius - Select the dimension table variable which determines the elbow radius of an elbow type component.
- Fill in data if necessary.

- Save the data by clicking OK.The piping component is now finished. You can add the component from the library.
