New Sketch on a Plane
From the ribbon
- Select Part | Sketch | .
- Select the plane in the model window.
- Draw a sketch or read an existing sketch from the sketch library.
- Accept the sketch by selecting or cancel it by selecting .
Note: The plane must not be hidden and reference geometry must be visible (press G to show/hide reference geometry).
In context-sensitive menu in the model window
- Select the plane in the model window.
- Select the context-sensitive function .
- If you selected , fill in the data to the dialog box.
- Draw a sketch or read an existing sketch from the sketch library.
- Accept the sketch by selecting the context-sensitive function or cancel it by selecting the context-sensitive function .
Note: If you select Face, the sketch plane will be the selected plane. If you select Parallel, Angle or Advanced, you can define the sketch plane by filling in the values for distance and/or angle to the opened dialog box.
In context-sensitive menu in the feature tree
- Select a .
- Select the context-sensitive function .
- Draw a sketch or read an existing sketch from the sketch library.
- Accept the sketch by selecting the context-sensitive function or cancel it by selecting the context-sensitive function .
Note: When you create a new sketch from the context-sensitive menu in the feature tree, the sketch plane will automatically be the selected plane.
