Paste a Feature Sketch
You can add the sketch of the feature from the clipboard to a face or a guide curve of the part. If the clipboard is cleared, you cannot paste the sketch of the feature.
- First, copy the feature of the part on clipboard.
- Select the face formed by the feature on the part.
- Add a sketch of a feature in the clipboard using Clipboard> Copy or Cut.
- Click the position point in the feature you wish to copy.
- Before pasting the feature to another part, select the reference face in the part you wish to position the sketch.
Select the element you want to add the sketch:
- A face on a part.
- A guide curve line.
- Select the context-sensitive function Clipboard> Paste.
- If you are adding the sketch to a face on a volume, select one of the following:
- Surface
- Parallel
- Angle
- Advanced
The sketch will be positioned onto the sketching face.
If you paste the cross-section feature to a guide curve in a sketch, first select the guide curve, the line of the curve and the point.
- You can edit a sketch, move the elements on a sketch by using the Drag function, and position a sketch on the sketching face by adding dimension constraints.
- Select OK.
- Select the operation performed on the sketch, and create a feature based on the sketch.
Note:
- To move an entire sketch to another location, first click a point on the sketch, then select the Drag Sketch function and select a new position.
- Cancel editing the elements on a sketch by selecting the Undo function.
- Cancel the addition of a sketch by selecting the Cancel function in the sketching mode.
