Open a Dimension Table to an XML File
General
- The function allows you to edit the values of the dimension variables of the constraints in an assembly with the Excel program.
- The function requires that the assembly has dimension constraints that have been given a variable or a formula with variables.
- You can also use this function to edit the dimensions of local parts of an assembly.
- If you add dimension variables to the assembly after opening the dimension table to an XML file, you must first delete the dimension table using the function Other Functions > Remove Dimension Table XML File and reopen the XML file of the dimension table to also include the new dimensions in the file.

- Save the Excel file.
- Excel asks if the format (XML) is to be retained.

Remove the dimension table XML file

- The function is only available if there is an .xml file with the same name next to the assembly.
- Select the function Other Functions > Remove Dimension Table XML File.
- You can then open the updated XML file in Excel.
