Define a Frame Line
Framer
When a wall frame is formed of individually added columns and beams, you can define a frame line and create a panel drawing of it. Add the frame parts before defining the frame line. You can define the frame line and create the panel drawing as follows:
- Select the frame parts (columns, beams, etc.).
- Select Profile | Structure | Build Beams Frame Line.
- Click the start and end point of the frame line.
- Select a location for the frame line label.
- Select a template drawing in the dialog box. The suitable template drawings are highlighted in blue in the dialog box. One of the suitable template drawings is selected by default.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
The program will generate the panel drawings. The panel drawing properties are similar to those of the floor panel drawing. For more information on panel drawing properties, see Create a Panel Drawing.
Note:
- You can connect or disconnect frame line parts by using the Connect or Disconnect Parts function.
- You can move the origin point of the beam panel or rotate its local coordinate system. See Move the Origin Point of an Assembly.
- You can add a frame line to a panel assembly. See Create a Panel Assembly.
- Frame and wall lines have their own object type, Frame Line, which you can select from the selection filter.
