Dialog Box Options

Update
Select the library data you wish to update in the components selected in the list. Select one or more of the following check boxes:
  • Geometry - Update the following changes to the components in the project:
    • A drawing or model file in a component library folder (../custom/complibs/macro_custom, for example) has been opened and the geometry has been edited. The file name has not been changed.
    • The application development program that creates the component geometry has been edited. The program name has not been changed.
    • The geometry of a component in the project has been opened and edited. You can restore the component geometry according to the library.
  • Type - Update the type of the selected components. Type is used for grouping building components in the material report.
  • Parameters - Add a new parameter for the selected components.
  • Macro label - Update the changes made to the label's geometric properties. The geometric properties are defined in the system settings.
You can select all the options by selecting the All checkbox. You can deselect all the options by clearing the All checkbox.
Filter
All the components in the project are collected in the list of building components to be updated. You can filter the listed components by type. Do one of the following:
  • Select the type from the Filter list. Only components of the selected type are displayed in the list of building components to be updated.
  • Press and hold the Ctrl key to select several types.
  • Click Select All to select all types.
  • Press and hold the Ctrl key and click a type to deselect it.
Select macros
All the building components in the project that match the type selected in the Filter list are displayed. Click the headers to sort the components. Do one of the following:
  • Select the component to be updated from the list.
  • Press and hold the Ctrl key to select several components.
  • Click Select all to select all components.
  • Press and hold the Ctrl key and click a component to deselect it.
The colors in the list signify the following:
White. The component is in the library. The geometry of the component in the project has not been opened for editing.
Green. The component is in the library. The geometry of a component in the project has been opened and edited. Update the geometry to restore the component geometry according to the library.
Gray. The component cannot be found in the library.
The program searches the library for a component with the same code (if the component has a code) and geometric presentation (2D presentation, 3D presentation accurate, or 3D presentation coarse) as the components in the project. A geometric presentation can be a geometry file, or a presentation generated either with an application development program or automatically. If the component code, the name of a geometry file or the name of the application development program has changed in the library, or the automatically generated presentation has been replaced with a geometry file or an application development program, the library component will no longer match the component added to the project and the component cannot be updated.
