Stretch Corner Trims to Roof

Architectural

With this function, the height of the corner trims of an individual corner is defined by selecting the start point of the trim and the roof, to which the trim is to be stretched in the model of the building. The program automatically trims the corner trims to the bottom plane of the roof. If you are adding corner trims to all corners at once by clicking the All button, and by then selecting the corner trims to be stretched up to the roof, the program automatically trims the corner trims of all corners to the nearest roof. The start point of the corner trims is automatically the bottom edge of the exterior siding of the wall.

When you are designing a parametric building model, coincident constraints are automatically created between the corner trim tops and the roof. If the roof height changes, the corner trims follow the change.

Adding corner trims to one corner at a time

When you are adding corner trims to the first corner, you can add corner trims reaching from the bottom of the exterior siding to the nearest roof in the following way:

  1. Click a corner.
  2. Select Confirm.

If you want to determine the start height at a height different than the bottom of the exterior siding, do the following:

  1. Click a corner.
  2. Select the start height.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • Click the roof to which the corner trims are to be stretched.
    • Select the Confirm function, whereat the program stretches the corner trims to the nearest roof.

The bottom height defined in either way will retain in the program memory until you define a new height or quit using the function. You can add corner trims of the same bottom height as in the previous corner to the next corner in the following way:

  1. Click a corner.
  2. Select Confirm.
