Viewing Direction as Text to a Wall Panel Drawing

Framer

You can add a text to a wall panel drawing that tells whether the panel is viewed from the inside or the outside of the wall. The text is added to the template sheet of the wall panel drawing as a text macro. The content of the text macro is set with the keywords view_side_note_inside and view_side_note_outside of the keyword group WALLS as follows, for example:

  • view_side_note_inside= "Viewed from the inside"
  • view_side_note_outside= "Viewed from the outside"

The program reads the value of one of the keywords as the value of the text macro according to the viewing direction of the wall panel.

The template sheets of the wall panel drawings are stored in the picts/wallpnl folder. Open a template sheet and add the text macro #VIEW_SIDE# as follows:

  1. Select Drafting | Text.
  2. Type the text macro in the format:

    #VIEW_SIDE#

  3. Confirm by clicking OK.
  4. Select the text properties.
  5. Click the text location.
  6. Quit by pressing the Esc key.

Note

  • The text macro is updated each time you open the wall panel drawing.
