Piping Design

Fill in the data of the new component into the database.

  1. On the tab, in the Databases group, click Components, and select Elbows.
  2. Browse, edit and list pipe component database rows with type elbow.
  3. Select either of the following context-sensitive functions:
    • Add Row
    • Copy Row
  4. Enter the item code into the Code field, for example Elbow-219.1x8.0-16Mo3.
  5. Fill in the other fields as necessary.
  6. If you would like to include the elbow in pipe class 16Mo, add it to the Classes field on page 3.

If you would like to add the elbow to more than one pipe class, separate the classes with a vertical bar ( | ).

  7. Enter the measurement table variables to page 4.
  8. Select OK.
Note:
  • Now route the pipeline by selecting pipe class 16Mo during pipe laying. If you have not added a separate elbow and the bend is defined in the pipe data, route the line as bent.
  • If you include the parts to a pipe class that does not exist, add the class data to the database by selecting Plant> Databases> Classes. You can enter a more detailed description of the pipe class' content.
