Add Handle Linkage Constraint
Piping Design
A handle linkage is a geometric constraint. The handle linkage is created in the following cases.
- On the tab, in the Constaints group, select Add handle linkage constraint.
- Define handle linkage between two handles. In adding pipeline, pipe and to the joint of a pipe and a pipe component. The handle linkage is displayed as follows in the bottom frame of the assembly tree.
-
You can display the parts connected to the constraint in the working window by clicking the constraint.
- During the adding of a pipe component, in the joint of a pipe and a pipe component.
- If you click a point of a pipe or a pipe component from the surrounding assembly geometry, an external reference is created. Handle linkages are highlighted in blue in the bottom frame of the assembly tree.
- Add handle linkage between pipe, pipe part and component.
- Select the context-sensitive function Constraints> Handle Linkage.
- Select Part 1.
- Select handle from Part 1.
- Select Part 2.
- Select handle from Part 2.
Note:
- A handle linkage is underdefined if rotation is released. Rotation is a property of a grip point linkage.
