Pipe Component Part Properties (3D)

Piping Design

This function can be used to define the properties used in modeling the pipe component. You can view and edit the pipe component properties after creating the geometry of the component. You can only edit the part properties in the model window. You can select the pipe component properties when adding or editing the component.

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Select the part in the working window.
    • Select the symbol of a part from the feature tree.
  2. Select the context-sensitive function Properties. You can also open the part properties for editing by double-clicking the part.
  3. Select Pipe Component as the part type in the dialog box.
  4. Click the Pipe Component data button.
  5. Define the filter data and select OK.

  6. Click OK.

Pipe Component Item Data

When the properties of a pipe component are defined, the material data of the part is updated automatically in the item data of the part.

View the pipe component item data as follows.

  • On the tab, select Item data, and select the Pipe Component in the model.
  • Select the pipe part and the context-sensitive function Item data, and define data in the COMPONENT DATA dialog box, and select OK.
