Extra Parts of an Assembly

You can define and edit the data of the extra parts of an assembly as follows:

• Select an assembly from the assembly tree, and select the context-sensitive function Properties. Select Extra parts.
• In the model is a table model, activate configuration 0: Default in the assembly, and then select the Extra Parts function.

Material Data

Item

Select the data for extra parts from the item database. If a suitable item is not found, you can create a new one and select it, or enter the material data for the extra part by hand.

Select an item label for the extra part from the item database as follows:

1. Add an empty row by clicking the Add row button.
2. Select data from the item database for the Label and Material fields.
3. Fill in the rest of the data.

Add a new item label for an extra part as follows:

1. Add an empty row by clicking the Add row button.
2. Click the New button.
3. Create a new item with one of the following ways:
   • Accept an existing item as the basis for the new item data. Define the item's classification data as search criteria and select the item.
   • Select no existing item as the basis.
4. Name the new item.
5. Fill in the data of the new item.
6. Select OK.

Save data

Save the extra part data by pressing the OK button or F2 key.
