Add a Model Only to the Active Configuration

General

  • The model to be added to the assembly is visible either in all configurations or only in the active configuration, depending on whether the auxiliary function Added instance is visible only at active configuration is selected or not .
  • If the auxiliary function is selected, the added part is only visible in the active configuration and hidden in the others.
  • Later, you can change the hiding state of the part by selecting the part and the context-sensitive function Hiding > Hiding at configurations.

Add a part only to the active configuration

  1. Add a Model to an Assembly.
  2. Select the auxiliary function Added instance is visible only at active configuration.
  3. Select the model position in the assembly.
    • The model is only visible in the configuration that was active when the model was added.
Note: This auxiliary function is not available if there is only one configuration in the assembly.
