Add using closed polyline

This function is used to add a plane in the shape of an existing polyline. The closed polyline has been added either in a 2D drawing or a 3D model using generic drawing functions.

When this function is activated, the elevation of the lower edge of the plane and plane pitch have default values. If a value has not been selected for these variables in advance, the program loads the default values from the building parameters. Otherwise, the last selected value of the variable is the default value. New values can be selected for the elevation of the edge and plane pitch by activating a suitable auxiliary function. A plane can be selected to be added such that either the top or bottom surface of the edge is positioned at the defined elevation.

The status bar displays the elevation of the edge, pitch, thickness and material code of the plane to be added.

After the positioning method, pitch and edge elevation of the plane have been defined, the closed polyline that defines the shape of the plane is selected. After this, the gable line towards which the plane ascends is selected. The gable line is selected using two points. If points are selected in a 3D model, wire frame can initially be selected as the method of representation of the model, in which case it is easier to select the points of the model.

  1. Select positioning according to top or bottom surface.
  2. Change the pitch of the slope, if necessary.
  3. Change the elevation of the edge, if necessary.
  4. Select a closed polyline.
  5. Select 1st point of the gable line.
  6. Select 2nd point of the gable line.
