Trimming to the End of a Profile

Architectural, Framer

This function can be used to join the end of a profile to the end of another profile. The program will stretch or shorten the profile to be joined so that the joint can be created.

  1. Select Modeling | Connection | Joint > Profiles Connect Profile Ends.
  2. Select the profile to be joined.
  3. Select the profile to which the profile is to be joined.
If there is already a joint at the end of the profile, you will be prompted: "Remove present joints?" Select either of the following:
  • Yes - Remove the old joint and create a new one.
  • No - Keep the old joint. A new joint will not be created.

You can also create a joint by using the function in the context-sensitive menu of the end grip point of a profile:

  1. Select the profile to be joined.
  2. Move the cursor near the end grip point.
  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Connect Profile Ends.
  5. Select the profile to which the profile is to be joined.
