New Project Label in the DesignStream System
DesignStream Interface
When starting to design a new project using Vertex BD, retrieve a project label from the DesignStream system, or add a new label to the system. The project is first saved to the local archive. You can check-in the project to the DesignStream system when you close the project.
- Select > New Project. The New Project dialog box opens.
- Click the Select button. The House Model/Project Search dialog box opens.
- Select project Type:
- Project - A customer project that has been confirmed.
- Proposal/Sketch - A customer project that has not yet been confirmed.
- House Model - A standard house model that can be used in customer projects.
- Building Group - A building group project that can be used in other projects.
- Do either of the following:
- Retrieve an existing id from the DesignStream system. You can fill the search criteria in one or more text fields, or leave the fields empty. You can shorten a search term with an asterisk (*).
- Customer
- Description
- Author
Select the project and click OK.
- Add a new id to the DesignStream system. Select the check box New DS project, and click OK. A project of the selected type is created in the DesignStream system, and an id is automatically generated for it. You can replace the automatically generated id with the id of your choice.
- Retrieve an existing id from the DesignStream system. You can fill the search criteria in one or more text fields, or leave the fields empty. You can shorten a search term with an asterisk (*).
- Define other data in the New Project dialog box.

Confirm by clicking OK.
Note:
- You can only transfer projects to the DesignStream system if they already have a label in the DesignStream system.
