Release a Project on the DesignStream System

You can release a project you checked out from the DesignStream system without checking in the changes you made. The project is released on the server and another user can check out the project. The project can remain in your local project archive.

1. If necessary, save the project in either of the following ways:
   • Select > Save Project.
   • Press Ctrl+S.
2. Select > Close Project. The Close Project dialog box opens.
3. Select the Uncheck Project from DesignStream radio button. You will be prompted: "Do you want to delete project and project folder from the local archive?"
4. Select either of the following:
   • Yes - The project is deleted from the local project archive. You can reopen the project by checking it out from the server.

   • No - The project remains in the local project archive. If no other user has checked out the project from the server, you can check out the project again for yourself by opening it from the local archive.

5. Click the Close button.

The project is released on the server and another user can check out the project. Any changes you made will not be checked in on the server.
