Move a Pipe/Duct Using a Grip Point

Piping Design

A pipe or duct that has not been fixed to its position with geometric constraints can be moved by a grip point. The connected part will be moved or shortened/lengthened, based on whether or not it is locked in place by geometric constraints.

  1. Select a pipe/duct.
  2. Select the square-shaped middle grip point.
  3. Lock the cursor, if necessary.
  4. Click the new location.
    • In the example image, the connected pipes are not restricted with constraints.

    • In the example figure, pipe (A) has the constraint Position fixed.

Note

  • You can also move a pipe with the context-sensitive menu function Move.
