Define the Supports of a Continuous Beam

Define the boundary conditions for the calculation. Select a rigid support or a gantry column, and point the support’s position in the drawing. You can also remove the support, if necessary.

You can place several supports of the same type at the same time. By selecting Confirm, you can continue placing different supports. You can place a support relative to some position by setting the local origin with the Q-key, and entering a numerical value.

Add supports

1. Click the Add Support button in the dialog box.
2. Select as a type of the support Stiff Support or Gantry Column.
3. Click the Show position, and select Confirm.
4. Select the location if the support in the drawing. The added support can be seen in list of the dialog box.
5. Define supports by selecting the Add Support.
6. You can delete a support by selecting the Support, and clicking Delete button.
7. After adding all supports, click the Next button in the dialg box.
