Define the Loads of a Continuous Beam

Select the load type: point force, point moment or evenly distributed line load. Click the position of the load, and enter the load size. Load symbols will also show the positive direction of the loads. If you want define the load in the opposite direction, enter a negative value.

You can place several loads of the same type at the same time. By selecting Confirm, you can continue placing different loads.

You can place a load relative to some position by setting the local origin with the Q-key, and entering a numerical value.

Define the load as follows:

  1. Click the Add Force button in the dialog box.
  2. Select the added force type Point force, Point moment or Line load.
  3. Enter the value of the load in the Force strength field.
  4. Click the Show Position button.
  5. Select the position of the force in the drawing.
  6. Define additional supports by selecting the Add Force.
  7. You can delete a support by selecting the Support, and clicking Delete force button.
  8. After adding all supports, click the Next button in the dialog box.
  9. Continue by selecting a beam profile. Select the Beam Profile
