Chimney Cover Plates

You can select a cover plate or a bottom plate for a chimney from the macro component browser. Expand the roof layers before adding the plate, see Expand Layers. Positioning the plate is easier if you first add a hole for the chimney in the roof slope, see Edit Building Component Punch.

1. Do either of the following:
   • Select Modeling | Accessory Component | Component gallery Component.
   • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Add Furniture, Symbol, Building Group....

   The browser is opened.

2. Select the Chimneys/Sheet plate folder.
3. Select one of the following:
   • 0300 Chimney Cover Plate
   • 0301 Chimney Bottom Plate
   • 0302 Chimney Bottom Plate - bottom plate reaching over the ridge
   • 0310 Chimney Cover Plate at Ridge
4. Select the location.

• If necessary, select wireframe or wireframe with hidden lines removed as the model's representation method.
