Connection Types

Select the connection type of the edges to be trimmed from the auxiliary menu.

Trim edges by top plane

This function is used to trim the edges of two areas with a vertical joint such that the top surfaces of the structures or structural layers are connected at the joint.

Trim edges by bottom plane

This function is used to trim the edges of two areas with a vertical joint such that the bottom surfaces of the structures or structural layers are connected at the joint.

Inclined joint by top plane

This function is used to trim the edges of two areas such that the top surfaces of the structures or structural layers are connected at the joint. The program makes the joint surface perpendicular to the bisector of the angle between the structures.

Inclined joint by bottom plane

This function is used to trim the edges of two areas such that the bottom surfaces of the structures or structural layers are connected at the joint. The program makes the joint surface perpendicular to the bisector of the angle between the structures.

Trim edges by top and bottom plane

This function is used to trim the edges of two areas are such that the top and bottom surfaces of the structures or structural layers are connected at the joint.

Lap joint

With this function, the edges of two areas are trimmed such that the edge of the lower structure or structural layer is trimmed to the bottom surface of the upper structure and the edge of the upper structure or structural layer is trimmed to a plane perpendicular to the top surface of the lower structure. The structure whose edge is selected first becomes the upper structure of the joint.

Cruciform joint

With this function, the edges of two areas are trimmed crosswise such that the top surfaces of the structural layers of the structures are connected at the joint and bottom surfaces end to the top surface of the adjacent structure. The structures cross on top of each other at the joint.

Bottom plane joint

This function is used to trim the edges of two areas such that the bottom surfaces of the structures or structural layers are connected at the joint. The program trims the edges of the surfaces perpendicular to the bottom surface of the adjacent structure.

Trim edge with plane

This function is used to trim the edge of a structure or a structural layer to a selected surface.

Select the edge to be trimmed.
Select the surface to which trimming is to be performed.

Bottom plane joint

Trim edge to edge

This function is used to trim the edge of the selected area to the edge of another area. The edge of the other area keeps its position. Both edges keep their shape.
