Select roof rafters
This function can be selected when adding an eave line for a roof. The roof can be a basic roof or a sketch roof. Roof parameters are defined in a database view, which depends on the roof type to be added.
Basic roof
The roof structure and parameters of a basic roof are not usually selected until the roof is added. The eave height of the roof is then determined by the parameters. In special cases, the roof parameters can be defined when adding the eave line. Such cases include, for example, hip roofs whose slopes have different pitches. In such cases, this function is needed for defining roof overhangs for different slopes.
Sketch roof
When adding a sketch roof, the roof structure and its parameters are always selected when adding the eave line. The sketch roofs are included in the Vertex BD Architectural product.
