Use the Grip Point to Move a Reference Text to a New Location

General

  • The instruction is related to an arrow text added to a part or assembly model.
  • Normal, arrowless, text cannot be connected to part geometry in the model.
  • The instruction allows you to move and connect the arrowhead of the reference arrow text to a new location.
  • You can drag the text itself from one place to another by clicking the text and holding down the mouse selection button and releasing the mouse selection button at the new location.

Move the position of the text arrowhead in the part model

  1. Click on the text
    • A green grip point is drawn on the tip of the arrow.
  2. Click on the grip point at the tip of the arrow.
  3. Select a new location for the point the arrowhead.
  4. Select a new location for the text.

Move the position of the text arrowhead in the assembly model

  1. Click on the text
    • A green grip point is drawn on the tip of the arrow.
  2. Click on the grip point at the tip of the arrow.
  3. Click the part to which the reference arrow text will connected.
    • Either the previous part or another part.
  4. Select a new location for the point the arrowhead.
  5. Select a new location for the text.
