Move a Pipe Part

You can move a pipe part in an assembly. The movement of a part can be limited by, for example, geometric constraints, handle linkages or fixing.

For example, if you move a component placed on a pipeline, the pipeline connected to it with handle linkages is moved/stretched along with the component.

Move the pipe part as follows:

1. Select the part to be moved as follows:
   • Select a pipe on a pipeline.
   • Select a bent pipe by pressing Alt+left mouse button.
   • Select a piping component.
2. Select the context-sensitive function Move.
3. You can select auxiliary functions before clicking a reference point from the part.
   • Limit the cursor snap to point.
   • Define the part's offset and rotation in relation to origin.
4. Select the reference point from the part, in relation to which you click the new position.
5. You can select auxiliary functions before clicking a new location for the part.
   • Rotate the pipe part.
   • Rotate a piping component around the Z axis.
   • Rotate a piping component by clicking on the model.
6. Click a new location for the part. You can also select the origin (point of the reference point macro) as the new location.
