Add a Page with Images to a Spare Parts Book

Spare Parts Book

Create a page for a spare parts book as a Vertex drawing. For example, parts of a device are displayed as an exploded view or a section view in a drawing.

Only parts that have part numbers are collected to the spare parts list.

You can create pages in the spare parts book as follows:

  1. Assembly model.
    • Open the product's main assembly in the working window.
    • Open the subassembly in the working window.

Create pages of the spare parts books from the same assembly.

  2. Drawing of an Assembly. Select the context-sensitive function Drawings and create a drawing of the assembly.

Usually the first (_1) drawing of the model is created for the purpose of manufacturing or internal use of a company. Model drawings from _2 can be used on other purposes, spare parts book, for example.

  3. Part Numbers. In the drawing projection, add part numbers to the parts whose data you wish to be printed out in the spare parts list.

The sheet templates created by the software supplier are located in the System/SparePartsBook folder of the symbol library.

For example, select the SP_A4.vxp sheet.

    • Select the scale.
