Change the Pitch by Entering a Ratio or Degrees

Architectural, Framer

Edit the pitch of the sketch roof slopes in the following way:

  1. Select the sketch roof.
  2. Move the cursor near the square grip point of the edge.

  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Change Pitch using Ratio or Angle.
  5. Enter the pitch either as a ratio or in degrees in the text box.
    • You can enter the ratio either as the ratio of the height and width of the slope or as a decimal number, for example 1/4 or 0.25.
    • If you enter the pitch in degrees, the numeric value is followed by the letter A, for example 45A.
  6. Select a reference point on the rotation axis.

The rotation axis remains in place and the slope is pitched around it. When adding a sketch roof, the program positions the rotation axis at the intersection point of the wall and sketch roof surface. If you want the eave of the roof to maintain at its original height when the pitch changes, move the rotation axis on the eave. Move the rotation axis by selecting a reference point on it and by entering an offset for the reference point.

  7. Click the offset for the rotation axis.
