Remove Material by Sweeping a Cross-section

Select Part | Library Feature | Cut.
- (OR) Select the context-sensitive function .
- Select a cross section from the library.
- Select the profile that you want to sweep, and select the context-sensitive function Select.
- Edit the profile's geometry in the dimension table or define the dimensions of the profile.
- From the part, select a line along which you want to sweep the profile. Position the profile using constraints, if necessary.
- Select OK.
- Fill in the data in the Sweep Feature Data dialog box. You can, for example, change the type of the sweep to cutout or change the sweep elements.
- Select OK.
Note: A library feature will be displayed in a part feature tree as an operation: as a sketch and a feature. You can move the library feature on the part by selecting the sketch for editing from the feature tree. You can edit the library feature using the dimension table values by selecting the library feature editing function from the feature tree.
