Part Number Data
General
- The dialog box is related to the function Drawing | Mechanical | Parts List > Part Number.
- See Add Part Numbers
- Some of the functions in the dialog box are only available for model drawings, so they are passivated (greyed out) for independent drawings made by drawing.
Dialog Box Options
- Part number
- Defines the starting number for part numbering.
- If the drawing already has part numbers, the program suggests next free number as part number.
- If you want to add the same part number more than once, press the Ctrl key before clicking the location for the reference line point and part number. For more information, see the instructions Add Part Numbers.
- If necessary, several part numbers are added at once, and the next number is automatically greater than the previous one by the increment interval.
- Increment
- Defines the part number increment.
- Select a suitable value from the list, or enter a new value.
- For example, the increment can be 1 or 0.1.
- Attach to geometry
- Line
- The part number is attached to a line.
- If you delete the line, the part number will also be deleted.
- Automatically
- With this option, numbers can be automatically added to the model drawing.
- This function is not available for independent drawings made by drawing.
- Click the projection to which part numbers are to be added.
- Click the rectangle on the lines of which the part numbers are located.
- Number
- This function opens a list of parts and sub assemblies in the model and allows them to be numbered.
- This function is not available for independent drawings made by drawing.
- No element marking
- This option does not mark the part to be numbered with the number in question in the model drawing.
- Normally, other than the part to be numbered, are drawn with a dim color, so that it is easy to target the part number belonging to the part in question to the correct part.
- This function is not available for independent drawings made by drawing.
