Return to the Assembly After Editing a Part
General
- In the main assembly, you can edit a subassembly or a part of the main assembly, and in a subassembly, its subassembly or a part of the sub-assembly, etc.
- You can return one step at a time from a part model or subassembly to the main assembly if you have selected subassemblies to be edited one step at a time.
- If you have selected a subassembly or a part of a subassembly from the main assembly to edit, you will return directly to the main assembly.
- From the color of the part or assembly symbols in the feature tree, you can see at which level you are editing the part or subassembly.
- There are two ways to exit the edit mode of a part model or subassembly
When you want the changes made to the part model or subassembly to be saved,
- Select 3D Sketch | Return OK or
- select the context-sensitive function OK
When you want the changes made to the part model or subassembly not to be saved, select
- Select 3D Sketch | Return Exit or
- select the context-sensitive function Exit
