Add a Drawing Sheet and Title Block

When you have created a new drawing for a drawing sheet, add the drawing sheet lines and a title block to the drawing. You can also add the drawing sheet lines and a title block to an existing drawing sheet from which the previous lines and the title block have been removed. You can select the function either in the building component browser, or in the project document browser.

  1. Open a drawing sheet or create a new drawing sheet.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select the function from the context-sensitive menu:
      1. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
      2. Select Add Drawing Sheet and Title Block.
    • Select the function in the building component browser:
      1. Select Modeling | Accessory Component | Component gallery Component. The browser is opened.
      2. Select the folder Drawing Forms / BD.
      3. Double-click Parametric drawing sheet w- titleblock.
    • Select the function in the project's document browser:
      1. Open the branch Architectural documents / Sheets.
      2. Move the cursor on a drawing sheet.
      3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
      4. Select Add Drawing Sheet and Title Block.
  3. Type the number of horizontal A4 sheets.
  4. Type the number of vertical A4 sheets. If necessary, use a decimal point, for example 1.5.
  5. Select the title block for the drawing sheet from a list.

If a title block is found in the custom/macros/dwgtitles folder, the program offers it. If you want to add the software vendor's title block, click Cancel, and the program will list the title blocks in the system/macros/dwgtitles folder.

  6. Select the location of the sheet in the drawing window.

Add a section, elevation or perspective view on the drawing sheet, for example.

Note:
  • From the building component browser, you can also select drawing sheets with predefined sizes.
