Add a New Drawing Sheet

You can create a new drawing sheet by selecting the function New in the View Tasks dialog box, or by selecting the function Add New Sheet in the project document browser. These functions open a new drawing, which is saved in the project's view_sheets folder.

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Select the function in the View Tasks dialog box:
      1. Select Output | Drawings | Drawing Sheets.
      2. Click the New button in the View Tasks dialog box.
    • Select the function in the project's document browser:
      1. Move the cursor on the title Architectural documents / Sheets.
      2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
      3. Select Add New Sheet.
  2. Enter the sheet data:
    • File - The file name with which the sheet is saved in the project's view_sheets folder. Type the name without the file extension.
    • Title - The description text displayed in the project's document browser.

The drawing is saved in the project's view_sheets folder. If you close the drawing, you can open it from the Sheet lists in the View Tasks dialog box, or from the project document browser under the title Architectural documents / Sheets.

Add drawing sheet lines and a title block to the drawing, and add a section, elevation or perspective view on the drawing sheet, for example.
