Configure the Properties of a Component

You can change the values ​​of individual parameters for some system library components. Only the configuration data is stored in an xml file in the customer-specific library, not the actual component. The library and the edited component will then be marked [Configured] in the browser.

For now, this is only possible for some libraries, for example sheet and insulation libraries. You can deactivate/activate individual sheets or edit the following properties:
  • Item
  • Default
  • Weight/Area
  • Surface Color
  • Bracing
  • Additional parameters
  • IFC Property Set

Configure the properties of a component as follows:

  1. Open the library browser by selecting System | Libraries | Libraries.
  2. Select the the main folder System Libraries.
  3. Select the library type Structural Sheets or Structural Insulation Materials.
  4. Select a library. The library components appear in the right side browser pane.
  5. Do either of the following:
    • Double-click the component and edit the properties in a database view.
    • Select the component and select Deactivate or Activate from the right-click menu.
  6. Edit the properties in a database view or in a dialog box.
