Edit Library Contents

You can edit the content of the following customer-specific libraries:

  • Window Grilles
  • Window Pane Graphics
  • Skylight Windows
  • Brick Patterns (requires the Vertex BD add-on option Pattern Design Tool)
  • Cladding Tools
  • Macro Components
  • Hangers
  • Corner Details
  • Eave Trim Sets
  • Wall Frame Tools
  • Horizontal Batten Tools

All the components in the library open for editing in a database view.

  1. Open the library browser by selecting System | Libraries | Libraries.
  2. Select Custom Libraries.
  3. Select the library type, for example Structural Sheets. You will see the libraries in the right side browser pane.
  4. Select a library.
  5. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  6. Select Edit Library Content.
  7. Edit the properties in the database view.
Note: You can edit customer-specific component libraries, which have their own user interface for editing the library and selecting the component, by selecting Edit Library from the right-click menu. Such libraries include wall, floor, roof, label, panel template drawing and Excel report libraries. See Open a Library for Editing.
