Edit Configurations

You can change the values of individual parameters for some system library components. Only the configuration data is stored in an xml file in the customer-specific library, not the actual component. The library and the edited component will then be marked [Configured] in the browser. You can view the changed values or remove the configuration as follows:

  1. Open the library browser by selecting System | Libraries | Libraries.
  2. Select a library marked [Configured]. For example, first select All Libraries, and then sort the libraries by Note column. The library components appear in the right side browser pane.
  3. Select a component marked [Configured].
  4. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  5. Select Edit Configurations. The function opens the Manage Configurations dialog box.
    • Property - Library database field name.
    • Original value - The value set in the system library.
    • Configured value - User modified value.
      • The field is marked with blue color when the value is different from the system library value.
      • The field is marked with a gray color when the value is the same as the value of the system library, but the configuration data exists.
  6. Do one of the following if necessary:
    • Edit the value in the Configured value field.
    • Remove the configuration: activate the field and select Remove configuration from the right-click menu.
  7. Confirm by clicking OK.
