Define a Non-updateable Part

When you add parts to a structure, the parts are added or regenerated to all the layers of the structure for which a framing tool has been defined and the parts of which are not protected. If necessary, you can set the desired parts as non-updateable, in which case they will not be regenerated, but will retain their properties and location.

This feature is available for the frame parts and sheets of a floor or roof panel or framing.

  1. Select one or more parts.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Common Properties.
  4. Clear the selection Updateable Part. By default, this property is selected for all parts.
  5. Confirm by clicking OK.

You can highlight non-updateable parts in the model. See Mark Exceptional Parts.

Note: To protect all parts of a layer, use the function Protect Parts of a Layer.
