Add Sheets to Wall Panel

When the framing tool selected for the sheathing layer of a wall panel is of the type Wall sheathing, the studs and sheets of a wall panel are linked together. According to the selected parameters in the framing tools of the layers, the sheathing can follow the studs or the sheets can generate the studs. For this reason, you cannot add parts to the plain sheathing layer, but you also need to have the frame layer selected when you add parts.

If the sheathing tool is of the type Sheathing (common sheathing tool), you can add parts by selecting just the sheathing layer.

1. Do either of the following:
   • Select one or more wall panels. All layers of the panel become selected.
   • Select both the frame layer and the sheathing layer from one or more wall panels.

   Select a Structure and a Layer

2. Do one of the following:
   • Select Panel | Framing | Generate Parts.
   • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Generate Parts.

   The program will generate the parts in the framing model.
