Define an Exceptional Mounting Method for a Part
Framer
You can define an exceptional mounting method for the frame parts or sheets of a panel. The property affects the material collection.
- Select the part.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Properties.
- Select Mount, and select one of the following from the list:
- Loose Part - A part to be mounted at the building site.
- Mount Manually - A part to be manually placed and mounted in the factory.
- Manually Placed - A part to be manually placed but automatically mounted in the factory. You can use this mounting method for parts that the production line cannot automatically position due to the size or shape of the part, but over which the nailing and glue lines must continue.
You can also select a mounting method for the edge boards of wall panel cladding. See Edit the Edge Detail of a Cladding.
You can highlight loose parts and parts to be mounted manually in the model. See Mark Exceptional Parts.
You can show loose parts and parts to be mounted manually in a panel drawing by editing the view properties. Select the tab Mount, and select the parts you wish to show.
Note:
- A profile defined as a loose part is not incluced in the weight of a wall panel.
