Bevel Dialog Box

Defines a bevel using the distance values of straight lines, or an angle and the distance value of one straight line. The other properties of the dialog box are used for a 2D drawing's elements. Define the data in the dialog box.

If the 2D Constraint Manager is enabled, the beveling involves dimension constraints and a coincident constraints in a 2D drawing.

Note:
  • Line A is the line you selected first. Line B is the line you selected second.
  • If you selected the function from the context-sensitive menu, the last line that the cursor marked is line A.

Dialog Box Options

A
Determines the distance of the bevel from the corner point on the first straight line. The meaning of the letter symbols is depicted in the figure in the dialog box. Select a suitable value from the list, or enter a dimension value in the field. You can also define a dimension value as a formula in the Equation field.
The alternatives on the list are defined in the draft keyword group using the keyword bevel.
B
Determines the distance of the bevel from the corner point on the second straight line. You can also define a dimension value as a formula in the Equation field.
Interchange the values A and B
Function can be used to switch the bevel values A and B. If you have entered an angle (alfa) value and the distance value of a straight line, the function will change the distance value from A to B and vice versa, but the angle value will remain unchanged.
Switch the bevel values A and B. The bevel will be set as follows:
Change the bevel value A to value B. The angle value (alpha) will remain unchanged. The bevel will be set as follows:
alpha
Determines the value of the bevel angle. Besides, you must define the distance value A or B of the bevel from the selected corner point. You can also define a dimension value as a formula in the Equation field.
Keep line 1
Defines that the line keeps its length in the bevel when this checkbox is selected. If the checkbox is empty, the line will be trimmed to the bevel.
Keep line 2
Defines that the line keeps its length in the bevel when this checkbox is selected. If the checkbox is empty, the line will be trimmed to the bevel.
Next
Use this function to change the bevel and, if it is possible to add, add a different kind of bevel to the lines' point of intersection. Click the Next button.
Properties
Defines the properties of the bevel line. Define the line properties in the dialog box.
