Tangential Line Chain to Spline

  1. Copy lines when a sketch is active.
  2. Select the lines when a sketch is active. You can connect tangential line chains to a spline curve.
  3. On the tab, in the Line Tools group, click Line Chain to Spline.
  4. Select one or more lines.
  5. Select Confirm.
Note:
  • This way created spline curve has the Identical constraint. If all selected lines belong to the same tangential line chain, the lines form the single spline curve, and only the single Identical constraint. The number of the Identical constraints match the number of the created spline curves.
  • The spline curve is associative to the original tangential line chain if the Identical constraint is added.
  • You can copy the lines then when the sketching mode is active.
  • The spline surfaces are flattened in accordance with neutral axis. The bends done with the older versions are created in accordance with the selected surface. If you want to update an old flattening to a drawing, delete the flattening configuration before you update the drawing.
  • You can change the direction of the snap point of a locked cursor. X and Y directions are available. In a 3D drawing also the Z direction is available.
  • The J key works in drawings and in 2D and 3D sketches.
