Edit a Part or Resize a Component in a Pattern
General
- If you edit the geometry of a link part in a pattern, all parts will be updated.
- You can recognize a link part in the assembly tree by its .L extension.
- If the components of the pattern are local parts, you can edit individual pattern parts so that they are different from each other.
- Local parts do not have the .L extension in the assembly tree.

Editing the geometry of a link part in a pattern
- Select the part to be edited:
- Select a part in the pattern and then select the context-sensitive function Edit or
- Double-click the part.
- Edit the geometry of the part.
- Return to the assembly by selecting the context-sensitive OK.
Resizing a library component in a pattern
If you resize a library component, all the components in the pattern will be resized.
- Select a component:
- Select a component in the pattern and then select the context-sensitive function Edit or
- Double-click a component.
- Select a new size for the library component from the dimension table or edit the values in the fields.
- Select OK.
