Edit a Part or Resize a Component in a Pattern

General

If you edit the geometry of a link part in a pattern, all parts will be updated.
- You can recognize a link part in the assembly tree by its .L extension.
If the components of the pattern are local parts, you can edit individual pattern parts so that they are different from each other.
- Local parts do not have the .L extension in the assembly tree.

Editing the geometry of a link part in a pattern

Select the part to be edited:
- Select a part in the pattern and then select the context-sensitive function Edit or
- Double-click the part.
Edit the geometry of the part.
Return to the assembly by selecting the context-sensitive OK.

Resizing a library component in a pattern

If you resize a library component, all the components in the pattern will be resized.

Select a component:
- Select a component in the pattern and then select the context-sensitive function Edit or
- Double-click a component.
Select a new size for the library component from the dimension table or edit the values in the fields.
Select OK.
