Add a Smart Model to the Main Project

Sub Projects

Add a smart model to an open main project as follows:

  1. Select Modeling | Zone | Sub Project > Smart Model.
  2. Select the project in the dialog box.

  3. As a default, the origin point of the smart model will be used as the reference point. Before positioning the model, you can use the functions in the auxiliary menu to rotate or mirror the model, or change the locating point, for example. The auxiliary functions are the same as when adding a sub project.

  4. Select the location of the smart model.
Note: You can add any project in the project archive as a smart model. So you can also add a project that is not saved as a smart model. You can update the changes made to the project by another user to the main project. You can also edit project objects in the main project, but you cannot save these changes to the project.
