Open a Corner

Sheet-Metal Design

You can open a sheet metal part's round corner or several round corners at once. Perform the opening on a bent sheet.

Figure 1: All corners of a box-like part are opened, after which it is possible to be flattened.
  1. Select Sheet metal part | Tools | Trim Corner. More options...Less options...
    • (OR) Select at least one cylindrical surface and select the context-sensitive function Cut Corner.... Proceed straight into defining the corner cut data.
  2. Select one or more cylindrical surface connected to the corner.
  3. Select the context-sensitive function OK or press the mouse middle button.
  4. Fill in the data in the Corner Cut Properties dialog box.
  5. Select OK.
