Shadow Geometry
General
- The shadow geometry function can be used to create guide curves, cross-sections or surface split lines from the model's silhouette lines.
- The model must have "volume" geometry, a mere cross-section is not sufficient.
- The function requires that the model has an auxiliary plane where the shadow geometry is created.
Create shadow geometry
- Select the auxiliary plane where the shadow geometry is created.
- Select the context-sensitive function Shadow Geometry.
- The program opens the dialog box Shadow Geometry.
- Select an operation
- Guide curve.
- Wire body.
- Split line.
- Cross section.
- Unite with original.
- Remove original.
- Select Apply to see what kind of shadow geometry is generated by the selections.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
