Shadow Geometry

General

The shadow geometry function can be used to create guide curves, cross-sections or surface split lines from the model's silhouette lines.
The model must have "volume" geometry, a mere cross-section is not sufficient.
The function requires that the model has an auxiliary plane where the shadow geometry is created.

Create shadow geometry

Select the auxiliary plane where the shadow geometry is created.
Select the context-sensitive function Shadow Geometry.
- The program opens the dialog box Shadow Geometry.

Select an operation
- Guide curve.
- Wire body.
- Split line.
- Cross section.
- Unite with original.
- Remove original.
Select Apply to see what kind of shadow geometry is generated by the selections.
Confirm by clicking OK.
