Default Planes

The default planes are the Horizontal (XY), Vertical (XZ) and Lateral (YZ) planes located in the model window's origin. These planes exist in all part models and assemblies.

By default, the default planes are visible when a new model is created. With the keywordbaseplanesvisiblewhencreatedyou can change the visibility of default planes in a new model.

0 The planes are hidden (default).
1 The planes are visible in a part model.
2 The planes are visible in an assembly model.
3 The planes are visible in both part models and assembly models.

In addition to the default planes, new planes can be created and positioned to a line or a face, for example.
