Create a New 3D Sketch
General
- In 3D sketching, you can freely sketch lines in three dimensions.
- In the 3D sketch, only some of the line drawing methods of the plane sketch are available and there are no functions of the line tool.
- You can add auxiliary planes to the 3D sketch, and bind the sketching to these auxiliary planes for the necessary time.
- In the 3D sketch, it is possible to generate a spline from the part model's chain of lines with the function Line Chain to Spline.
Create a New 3D Sketch
- Select Part | Sketch | 3D.
- If necessary, add sketch planes (auxiliary planes) to the 3D sketch, which you position with geometric constraints.
- If necessary, set the sketch plane as a work plane which allows you to draw the sketch with the line drawing function.
- 3D Sketch
- As an example, 3D Circle.
- Exit the 3D sketch by selectting the function 3D Sketch | Return | OK or
- select the context-sensitive function OK.
- The program turns the sketched geometry into guide curve geometry, which appears in the feature tree as step 3D sketch.
